These training days are designed for riders who wish to improve their riding skills and have them assessed with a view to taking some form of advanced riding certificate (IaM, RoSPA or DIAmond).

This is a full days training (usually 150 miles+). The day starts with an assessment of your current riding experience and skills. You will have the opportunity to highlight the areas of riding that you would like to address. Followed by a brief chat to discuss road craft.

This day is totally tailored to the individual student’s skills and abilities.

On your first ride your instructor will follow you to assess your current on road skills and hazard perception in a variety of situations; from urban riding to A roads, dual-carriageways and motorways.

A debriefing will follow with the instructor highlighting his observations on the ride. The instructor will then lead the ride demonstrating the correct techniques for the previously discussed scenarios. What follows after lunch will depend entirely upon what went before and the remainder of the day will be spent honing your new found skills.

At the end of the day, our instructors will discuss the days training and advice on the candidate’s suitability and chances of success on the above advanced tests.

Riding In Action are pleased to announce that Steve Boardman is a DIAmond Advanced examiner for the Oxfordshire, Wiltshire & Gloucestershire areas. Those people wishing to take this examination will be able to organise and book their examination through us.

PAUL DAY | BRANCH OWNER & INSTRUCTOR

Hi i'm Paul

It's my privilege to be able to say I am a motorcycle instructor.

My love of bikes started in my teens, but in those days parents were not to happy about us on two wheels so we rode in secret.

When I moved away from home I purchased a Honda 250 dream twin, lovely bike, although my mother wasn't too happy. However as I was a young man, girls appeared on the scene followed soon by family and so two wheels went to four.

Needless to say passion never dies and later in life I was able to go out and have my dream bike, a Harley Davidson Road King. Not everyone's choice I may say but my motto is never worry what the other person rides as long as they ride, we are all bikers who live for the passion and thrill of freedom.

I have had the privilege of being able to train for my CBT and DAS instructors ticket with Riding In Action. Having worked closely with them for these past years, I am now in a position to be able to open a new school in Shurdington, Cheltenham under the banner of Riding in Action.

I look forward to meeting and instructing future motorcyclists!
